phs Teacrate is proud to be sponsoring a brand new category at the prestigious Women in Meat Awards 2024.
The new accolade ‘Meat Businesswoman - Livestock Procurement & Sustainability’ is the latest addition to the awards, which recognises and rewards outstanding female talent in the UK’s meat industry.
Derek Brown, Managing Director of phs Teacrate, said: “These awards are a unique and wonderful way to celebrate the achievements of the incredible women in this industry. We were particularly drawn to sponsoring this new category because of the sustainability element. phs Teacrate prides itself on its sustainable ethos and practices and we understand the dedication, drive and commitment that’s required to drive sustainability within an industry.
“We have worked closely with the meat industry for decades, delivering hygienically clean crates as and when needed right across the UK. We also provide a state-of-the-art wash process, which uses high temperatures and environmental and food-safe chemicals to ensure the most hygienic clean for trays, giving our meat customers total peace-of-mind.
“We are looking forward to the awards, which look set to be the biggest and best to date.”
Sharon Yandell from The Women in Meat Awards said: “We wanted to add this important category and by doing so recognise the many women who do such a great job in this area of the business.”
In 2023, the event saw 400 guests from across the meat industry, including some of the UK’s biggest brand, gather to celebrate women’s success across 13 categories.
The 2024 awards will be held at The Royal Lancaster Hotel in London on 29th November 2024. Nominations for the 14 categories for 2024 will open in June.
